Read Proverbs 15

This is the final chapter in a lengthy section contrasting wickedness and righteousness. Many ideas previously seen are also in this chapter.

But, I’d like you to focus on a specific topic today. Speech or the way you talk appears frequently in this chapter.

Look back through this chapter and think about these things…

• What are the verses that refer to speech?
• How does the wise person handle their speech?
• List the characteristics of speech that are positive… negative…
• Why is it important to be wise in speaking?

Pick out one of the positive/wise aspects of speech you see in this chapter. Think about ways you either been successful or not. Now, ask God to help you be positive/wise with your speech, and be thankful that God is patient with us!
