June 20, 2016 – Psalm 103

Read Psalm 103

Do you ever feel like life is hard? Like there is nothing good? Like you’ve been abandoned?

David felt that way many times in his life. He shows us his struggles in many of the Psalms. But, in Psalm 103 we get a glimpse of how David views God. Look back at this Psalm.

  • The word “praise” is repeated. Do you know what “praise” means? Get a dictionary and look it up. It’s used in the verb form in this Psalm so be sure to find that.
  • How can you praise the Lord? Is that difficult sometimes? Why is that?
  • David creates a list of the good things the Lord has done for him. Go back to the first 6 verses. What are those things?
  • Even if you are in a difficult time in your life, think about the good things the Lord has done for you. Write them down. Go back and review this list every day. Thank Him!

Remember this:

The Lord has made the heavens his throne; from there he rules over everything. (v 19)
